Dhaka, Aug. 12 -- The students and public have given a 24-hour ultimatum demanding health sector reforms.

They also warned that if their three demands are not met, they will take up agitation programs across the country.

The protesters made this announcement at a press conference in Nathullabad central bus stand area of Barishal on Sunday.

Expressing solidarity with the students in the movement, Senior Nayeb Ameer of Islami Andolan Bangladesh, Mufti Syed Muhammad Faizul Karim, joined the movement.

Apart from this, some NCP leaders were also seen joining the programme. Earlier, the protesters blocked the Barishal-Dhaka-Barishal highway in Nathullabad crossing on Sunday morningfor the fourth day.
