Dhaka, Nov. 6 -- The newly appointed Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Sapahar, Romana Riaz, during a discussion with local journalists, said, "Journalists are the conscience of the nation. With your support, it is possible to develop Sapahar as a model upazila."
She made these remarks on Wednesday during a courtesy meeting and discussion session with members of the Sapahar Press Club at the UNO office.
The meeting was attended by the Press Club's president Taslim Uddin, general secretary Babul Akhtar, joint general secretary Kamrul Islam, organisational secretary Sharif Talukdar, office secretary Tofayel Ahmed, and other journalists of the Press Club.
