Dhaka, Dec. 15 -- Bangladesh is set to purchase its second liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo from the spot market for 2026, with delivery scheduled for the second week of January, officials said.
State-run Rupantarita Prakritik Gas Company Ltd (RPGCL) has invited price quotations from its enlisted suppliers to procure one spot LNG cargo for delivery on January 9-10, a senior RPGCL official told a media on Sunday.
The cargo volume is around 3.36 million British thermal units (MMBtu) and will be delivered to Moheshkhali Island, with the option to unload at either of the country's two floating storage re-gasification units (FSRUs) located there.
