Dhaka, Oct. 24 -- A Dhaka court on Tuesday placed Mizanur Rahman, an accused in Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) student Abrar Fahad murder case, on a five-day remand.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Baki Billah passed the order when Detective Branch (DB) Inspector Md Wahiduzzaman produced Mizanur, a roommate of the victim, with a seven-day remand plea in the case.

Meanwhile, eight accused have given their confessional statements narrating horrific descriptions of torturing Abrar to death. Earlier, Detective Branch (DB) of police on Thursday detained Mizanur Rahman from BUET's Sher-e-Bangla Hall.
