Dhaka, Dec. 29 -- Students and local residents blocked the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway in Narayanganj demanding a fair trial for the murder of Inquilab Moncho spokesperson Osman Hadi.

On Sunday, they placed bamboo barricades at the Signboard area from 3:00 pm and continued the program until around 4:30 pm.

During the blockade, they chanted strong slogans addressing India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bangladesh's former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Except for ambulances, they stopped all other vehicles. As a result, long traffic congestion formed in Signboard, Chittagong Road, Kanchpur, and Sanarpar areas, causing severe suffering to commuters.
