Dhaka, May 7 -- Today marks the 84th birth anniversary of noted columnist, freedom fighter, and philanthropist RK Chowdhury a distinguished figure whose contributions to public service, education, and urban development continue to inspire generations.

Throughout his illustrious career, RK Chowdhury held several important positions in public administration, including commissioner of Dhaka City Corporation and chairman of both the Dhaka City Corporation Planning and Development Committee and RAJUK (Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha).
