Dhaka, Dec. 2 -- A five member specialised Chinese medical has joined in the efforts of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia's treatment as her health deteriorated further on Sunday night.

Khaleda Zia has been receiving intensive care at Evercare Hospital since her admission on November 23.

She is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital's Coronary Care Unit (CCU) for multiple complications involving her liver, kidneys, and heart.

Her condition worsened on Sunday night, leading doctors to place her on ventilator support.

A five-member team of Chinese specialists arrived in Dhaka on Monday to support the ongoing medical procedures.
