India, Jan. 8 -- A critically injured tiger rescued from the Chandpai range of the Sundarbans East Forest Division is showing gradual signs of recovery.
The tiger is currently under treatment at the Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Center in Khulna, according to a Press briefing, held at Khulna Press Club on Wednesday noon.
Conservator of Forest, Khulna Region Imran Ahmed, DFO West Sundarbans Division AZM Hasanur Rahman, DFO East Sundarbans Division Md. Rezaul Karim Chowdhury and others forest officials were present during the press briefing.
Forest officials said the tiger was in a very weak condition when rescued. Since receiving medical care, it has started drinking water and eating, and its mobility is slowly returning to normal.
