Dhaka, Feb. 17 -- The Myanmar border tension has not been diminished yet as the Teknaf border has once again trembled with the firing of gunshots and mortar shells inside Myanmar border.

The intense firing continued at a stretch for the last two to three weeks between the Myanmar Junta forces and the insurgents in Rakhine state.

Locals of Shahporir Dwip of Teknaf said that they were scared by firing along the Myanmar border on Friday.

Meanwhile, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Friday stated that no individual with arms from Myanmar was allowed to enter into Bangladesh.

"Sporadic conflicts are continuing in different parts of Myanmar. Our Border Guard is on high alert.

None is allowed to enter into Bangladesh with arms," he said...
