Dhaka, Oct. 1 -- While the dengue outbreak is increasing across the country, dengue has broken records in Sylhet this year.

In a total of 8 months from January to August, dengue has been detected in 110 people in Sylhet division. This is an average of about 14 dengue patients detected every month.

The Department of Health sources have confirmed that 69 dengue patients have been detected till this month.

In the last 24 hours (from 8 am on Saturday to 8 am on Sunday), 6 new dengue patients have been detected in Sylhet.

Currently, 14 patients are undergoing treatment in various hospitals and clinics of the division.
