The historic Pagla Mosque in Kishoreganj town has once again witnessed a record-breaking donation collection, receiving a staggering Tk. 9.17 crore in its 11 donation boxes.
The massive amount, found in at least 28 sacks and one trunk, included local currency, foreign money, and gold ornaments.
The counting process began at 7:00 am and continued uninterrupted for over 10 hours, concluding around 5:30 pm.
A team of 400 people, including members of the mosque's managing committee, students and teachers from the Pagla Mosque madrasa, participated in the counting.
