Recent tests on the integrity and strength of the reactor containment at Unit 1 of the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) have been successfully completed. The Managing Director of Nuclear Power Plant Company Bangladesh Limited (NPCBL), Dr. Jahedul Hasan, confirmed that the tests verified the highest safety standards as per the plant's design.
During the testing process, a compressor was used to raise the internal pressure of the containment to its design value.
