Dhaka, March 21 -- The Tangail Railway Police successfully rescued seven-year-old Rayyan, a madrasa student kidnapped from Sonargaon, Narayanganj, and arrested the suspected abductor, Al-Amin (20).

Acting on intelligence, police located the child at Tangail Railway Station around 12:15 PM on Monday (17-03-2025). During interrogation, it was revealed that on March 15, 2025, the suspect lured Rayyan away from madrasa with promises of food and shelter. He then took the child to Tongi, where he was held captive.

The kidnapper later sent a photograph of Rayyan in captivity to the victim's father via the Imo App, demanding a ransom of 5 lakh taka.
