Dhaka, May 14 -- A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Health Services Division of the Ministry of Health and the Railways on 21 April 2025 for the purpose of jointly managing the hospitals operated by Bangladesh Railway.
In light of the said Memorandum of Understanding, the Ministry of Health initially took the initiative to jointly manage the Chattagram Railway Hospital and provide general medical services.
For this, the name of Chattagram Railway Hospital was changed to "Railway General Hospital-Chattogram". Recently, the Ministry of Health has posted 19 doctors and 9 nurses in the hospital.
