Dhaka, Sept. 2 -- The Railway Department has conducted an eviction campaign on illegal establishments built on railway property in Joypurhat. The eviction campaign was conducted on Monday afternoon.

At that time, the aggrieved traders expressed their anger over the demolition of the houses of other traders by leaving their houses in front of the railway gate.

At one point, the railway authorities quickly left the scene. Approximately fifty establishments were evicted in the campaign.

Ariful Islam, the Railway's Pakshir Divisional Land Property Officer, said that the railway authorities had conducted an eviction campaign at the same place on September 25 last year.
