Dhaka, Nov. 28 -- Begum Rokeya University (BRUR) administration has expelled three students and warned nine others over a ragging incident at Bijoy-24 Hall.
Two students have been expelled for two academic terms, while one student has been expelled for one term.
The disciplinary action was approved at the 118th Syndicate meeting of the university on Wednesday.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Shawkat Ali later confirmed the decision at a press conference.
The expelled students are Abdullah Al Mamun and Roki Ahmed (two terms), and Azizul Hakim (one term).
The nine warned students are Moniruzzaman, Golam Morshed Tami, Meghnath Roy, Masud Rana, Saidur Rahman Shakil, Sujon Mia, Akram Ali, Fahim Islam, and Farad Hossain.
