Dhaka, May 7 -- Today is the 83rd birth anniversary of columnist, freedom fighter and Adviser of Sector Commanders Forum R K Chowdhury's 83rd birth anniversary on Monday.

He was elected commissioner from the city's Jatrabari and Dhanmodi more than one.

He also worked as the Chairman of RAJUK.

R K Chowdhuty established many institutions including R K Chowdhury University College (Sayedabad), R K Chowdhury College (Jurain), R K Chowdhury High School (Sayedabad), R K Chowdhury Hospital (Jatrabari) and R K Chowdhury Hospital (Jurain) for the people's interest.
