Dhaka, Aug. 28 -- Aditi Islam, an AGS candidate from the 'Aparajeyo 71-Admyo 24' Parishad, a panel of several left-wing student organizations, has questioned the decision to deploy the army around the Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) and Hall Parliament elections-2025.
In a post on social media site Facebook on Wednesday midnight, he described the decision as anti-autocratic and undemocratic.
Aditi wrote, "The administration says that soldiers will be in 'striking positions' at seven points of entry. The question is, who is this position to hit? This decision will alarm the electoral environment and discourage voters, especially non-resident students."
