Dhaka, April 11 -- A group of local people forming rally held a protest march and meeting demanding the removal of Agoiljhara Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Fariha Tanjin, alleging her irregularities and corruption.
The protest march and rally was held at the upazila Sadar on Wednesday.
At that time, the protesters raised various slogans against the Executive Officer Fariha Tanjin, including "One point, one demand, UNO, when will you go, there is no place for corrupt people in Agailjhara."
Quoting the office assistants of the agitating UNO office Amir Ali and Bilkis Akhter, theyalleged that after distributing only a nominal amount of dates, lamb meat and saree lungi given by the government to helpless and distressed families.
