Dhaka, Dec. 22 -- The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has seized assets worth crores of rupees belonging to several celebrities from West Bengal and Bollywood, including actress Mimi Chakraborty, actor Ankush Hazra and former Indian cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Robin Uthappa, for allegedly promoting and trading illegal betting apps.

According to Indian media reports, assets worth a total of Rs 7.93 crore (about Tk11 crore in Bangladeshi currency) were seized on Friday in a case of financial fraud through an illegal betting app called '1xBet'.

Of this, actress Mimi Chakraborty has assets worth Rs 5.9 million and actor Ankush Hazra has assets worth Rs 4.72 million.
