Dhaka, Oct. 5 -- A formal probe into the allegations of crimes against humanity committed by Awami League as a party will begin soon, Chief Prosecutor Mohammad Tajul Islam said today.

Replying to a question while talking to journalists on the International Crimes Tribunal premises here, the Chief Prosecutor said a political party named NDM has already filed a complaint against Awami League for committing crimes against humanity as a party. "We are initiating a probe based on that. So, it can be said that at this moment, we are going to start the preliminary probe to put Awami League as a criminal organisation on trial," he said.
