Dhaka, Oct. 5 -- Bangladesh and China have marked the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic relations, highlighting a partnership built on mutual respect, trust, and long-standing cooperation, the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka said on Saturday.

The milestone was commemorated through congratulatory messages exchanged between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Bangladeshi President Mohammed Shahabuddin. Xi described Bangladesh and China as traditional friendly neighbors with a long history of exchanges.
