Dhaka, March 19 -- Pragoti Industries Limited has signed an agreement with STX Corporation, an authorised company of KIA Motors Corporation, to assemble the Cerato sedan car of the KIA brand from South Korea's KIA Motors Corporation.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in Seoul, South Korea, on Monday.
Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun was present at the MoU signing ceremony as the chief guest.
In his speech, the minister mentioned that the Chittagong Sea Port is the nearest port to Western countries.
Since the factory of Pragoti Industries Limited is located in Chattrgram, it will be possible to easily export sedan cars through assembly and manufacturing.
