She recently alleged that she is being threatened frequently due to disputes over family property and land.

Popy recently told a media outlet that she has been being threatened in various ways for almost a year.

The main focus of her complaint is her cousin's husband, Tarek Ahmed Chowdhury.

Popy said that even after hearing the news of the death of a close relative, she could not go to Khulna due to the threats.

According to the actress, "Tarek called me and told me that if I went to Khulna, they would try to kill me. I couldn't go there because of my own safety concerns."
