Dhaka, July 2 -- Professor Ali Riaz, Vice-Chairman of the National Consensus Commission, said on Wednesday that there is unanimous agreement among political parties regarding the restoration of the caretaker government system.

"There's a clear and specific consensus on reinstating the caretaker government," he told reporters at the Foreign Service Academy in Dhaka after the eighth day of the Commission's second-phase dialogue with political parties.

Riaz noted that significant progress was made through open discussions on the formation, structure, and jurisdiction of the caretaker government. Electoral boundary delimitation was also addressed, where a notable consensus emerged.
