Dhaka, Nov. 21 -- Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Sheikh Md Sazzat Ali has issued a strict directive authorizing police personnel to open fire on anyone involved in crude bomb attacks or setting vehicles on fire.
At the inauguration ceremony of the Cyber Support Centre of the DMP on Thursday to combat cybercrime and protect public safety, he said: "There is a provision in the law to shoot those who try to attack. To ensure the safety of people's lives and property, police will not hesitate to use maximum force against criminals according to the law."
