Dhaka, May 30 -- The Bangladesh Police have issued a set of safety directives for citizens to ensure a safe and smooth celebration of the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha.
In a press release issued on Thursday, police urged citizens especially those travelling out of the city during the holidays to plan their journeys with abundant time to avoid last-minute rush at train stations, bus terminals, launch and ferry terminals.
Holidaymakers have been requested to avoid risky travel practices, such as riding on rooftops of buses, trains, launches, steamers or on trucks, pickups or other cargo vehicles.
Use of unsafe vehicles such as Nosimon, Korimon and Bhotbhoti on highways has also been discouraged.
