Dhaka, March 22 -- Patuakhali police arrested a man on charges of raping the college-going daughter of a July uprising martyr while she was on her way back from visiting her father's grave on Tuesday.The arrestee has been identified as Sakib Munshi, a resident of Pangasia union of Dumki upazila, Dumki Police Station Officer-in-Charge Zakir Hossain told the media.
A case has been filed with the police station over the reported incident.According to police and family members of the victim, the incident occurred when the college-going girl reached the Naldoani area. Two local residents - Shakib Munshi and Sifat Munshi - grabbed her by the face and forcibly took her to a nearby abandoned garden owned by another local named Jalil Munshi. There ...
