Dhaka, Nov. 18 -- Armed assailants have shot and killed Golam Kibria, the Member Secretary of Pallabi Thana Jubo Dal. Dhaka North City BNP Convener Aminul Haque confirmed the information at 7:30 PM on Monday. However, he could not immediately say who carried out the shooting.

Aminul Haque stated that the critically injured Kibria was taken to Sohrawardy Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Kibria's murder has created tense situations in Pallabi, Mirpur, and the surrounding areas.Meanwhile, the police, along with the RAB and DB, have launched operations in the area to identify and apprehend the killers quickly. Investigators are also examining whether any CCTV footage is available around the crime scene.
