Dhaka, Dec. 3 -- December 3 is the Pakistani Invader Liberation Day in Thakurgaon. On this day in1971, in the face of a fierce attack by more than two hundred guerrillas unde rCaptain Jahangir of the Liberation Army and allied forces, the invading army led by Captain Zahid of the Pakistani Invader Army and their allies were forced toleave Pirganj and fled towards Syedpur Cantonment via Birganj.
On this day, morethan two hundred guerrilla liberation forces led by the guerrilla leaders of theLiberation Army, Shahidullah Shahid of Munshipara, Makim Uddin Ahmed,Jagthar Abdul Aziz, Talebur Rahman of Birholi and Akhtaruzzaman of KachonDumuria, bravely entered Pirganj and declared Pirganj free from the Pakistaniinvaders.
