Dhaka, Dec. 10 -- From March 2026, a direct train service from Pabna to Dhaka will start, according to Sheikh Moinuddin, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser for Roads, Bridges and Rail Communications.
He shared this information while speaking with journalists on Tuesday at the Pakshi Divisional Railway Office in Ishwardi.
He said, "Currently there is a shortage of railway coaches, but this problem will be resolved soon.
With that goal, the railway department is preparing to launch a direct Pabna-Dhaka train service from March."
Sheikh Moinuddin also said that the unused railway station built for transporting equipment for the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant has been inspected, and necessary decisions will be taken regarding it.
