Dhaka, Dec. 21 -- BNP Standing Committee Member Salahuddin Ahmed on Saturday said the killing of Inquilab Mancha spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi was a part of conspiracy.

He, however urged all to stay vigilant so that the incident is not exploited for political purposes or to create instability.

"We have unequivocally condemned this barbaric act. However, fallen fascist elements or those seeking to obstruct the election process must not be allowed to take advantage of this incident. Everyone must stay alert," he said.

Salahuddin, a member of the BNP Standing Committee, made the comments while speaking to journalists ahead of attending Hadi's namaz-e-janaza.
