Dhaka, Sept. 20 -- BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Friday said that anyone aspiring to bring about a revolution, transform society, and improve the lives of ordinary people must first build a strong organization.

"Those who want real change, who dream of a revolution and of uplifting common people, must strengthen their organization and make it more effective," he said.

He made these remarks while speaking at a memorial program for the late leftist politician and writer Badruddin Umar at the Sahitya Bisharad Auditorium of Bangla Academy in Dhaka.

Badruddin Umar, president of the Jatiya Mukti Council, passed away on September 7 at the age of 93 while undergoing treatment at a hospital in the capital.
