Dhaka, Aug. 30 -- Less than 15 months into Narendra Modi's third term as India's Prime Minister, opposition parties are calling for his resignation, alleging that the 2024 general election was conducted using a flawed voter list.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has accused the government of removing legitimate voters and adding fictitious names, claiming Home Minister Amit Shah and the Election Commission facilitated the process. Gandhi has also blamed the "Gujarat model" of vote manipulation, allegedly developed when Modi was Gujarat's Chief Minister and replicated nationally in 2014.
