Dhaka, March 21 -- BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Friday said necessary reforms should be made to conduct elections, and through these elections, the existing problems in the country must be resolved.

He made these remarks during an Iftar gathering hosted by BNP at the Ladies Club on Friday afternoon in the capital to honour professionals. He shared his thoughts on the current political situation.

The BNP leader expressed joy at being able to organise the event in a free, fascism-free environment, something that hadn't been possible for nearly 15 years.
