Dhaka, Dec. 30 -- Nomination papers for BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia were submitted on Monday for the Feni-1 constituency (Parshuram, Fulgazi, and Chhagalnaiya).
A delegation of senior leaders handed over the documents to District Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner Monira Huq in the morning.
Key figures present included Feni-2 candidate Professor VP Joynal, Feni-3 candidate Abdul Awal Mintoo, Dhaka South BNP Convener Rafiqul Alam Majnu, former MP Rehana Akhtar Ranu, and central leader Abu Taleb.
Following the submission, Rafiqul Alam Majnu expressed hope for Begum Zia's speedy recovery and hoped a record-breaking victory in this constituency, which is known as her ancestral stronghold.
