Dhaka, March 28 -- The pressure of vehicles has increased on the Dhaka-Tangail and Dhaka-Mymensingh highways as people begin their journey home for Eid-ul-Fitr. However, as of now, no major traffic congestion has been reported on these routes.
Since Friday morning (March 28), crowds of passengers and an increased flow of vehicles have been observed at various points along the highways.
According to police, passengers, and locals, many people, including garment workers and employees from various professions, have started leaving the city for their hometowns to celebrate the Eid holidays. As a result, vehicle movement on the two highways has increased. However, as of 11 AM, both highways remain free from traffic congestion.
