Dhaka, Oct. 8 -- There will be "no safe exit other than death" for advisers in the interim government who are trying to shirk responsibility by performing their duties half-heartedly in hopes of quietly leaving after the upcoming national election, said National Citizen Party (NCP) Chief Organiser (North) Sarjis Alam on Tuesday.

"Some advisers believe they can get away with merely completing formalities and then exit through the election process. But a post-uprising government cannot be run with such negligence," Sarjis told reporters following a coordination meeting of NCP's district and upazila units in Naogaon.
