India, Jan. 11 -- Industries and Local Government Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan on Saturday sought to allay public concerns over the upcoming national election, saying there was "no reason to worry" about law and order and predicting that the polls would be held in a festive and peaceful atmosphere.

Speaking to reporters after inspecting the Kadamtali Central Bus Terminal in Sylhet's South Surma area at around 11:30 a.m., Mr. Khan said he was confident the election day would pass without major security disruptions.
