Dhaka, Sept. 28 -- Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin on Saturday assured that no election official will receive unlawful instructions during the 13th National Parliament elections, nor will they be asked to act in favor of any candidate.

"We will issue necessary directives during the election, but none of them will be illegal.

No order will be given to favor anyone, nor to work against anyone. Every directive will strictly follow the law and electoral rules," he said.

The CEC made the remarks while addressing the Election Officers Conference 2025 held at Nirbachan Bhaban in Agargaon, organized by the Bangladesh Election Commission Officers Association.
