Dhaka, July 2 -- Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin on Tuesday said no specific date for the next general election was discussed during his recent meeting with Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus.
Speaking to reporters at the Election Commission (EC) headquarters, the CEC confirmed that preparations were progressing with a tentative timeframe in mind, likely between February and April 2026.
"The Election Commission will announce the date and schedule for the polls in due course," Nasir stated.
