Dhaka, April 1 -- Election Commissioner Brigadier General Ahsan Habib Khan (Retd.) said that the previous elections were acceptable. I want to complete the sixth upazila parishad election in a more beautiful manner by correcting the mistakes that have been made in those elections.
He said these before the journalists at the end of the discussion meeting on law and order held at the Barisal District Shilpokala Academy afternoon Auditorium on Saturday (March 30) noon.
The Election Commissioner said that the security of voters, candidates, media workers will be ensured in the upazila parishad elections. Punishment will be given if anyone threatens journalists during this election. No concessions will be made even on minor issues.
