Dhaka, Feb. 1 -- In the biennial election of Nilphamari District Bar Association, Jamaat-backed Al Faruq Abdul Latif and BNP-backed Al Masud Chowdhury have been elected as President and General Secretary, respectively. The results were announced at around 9:30 pm after voting in the meeting room of the District Bar Association on Thursday (January 30).Al Faruq Abdul Latif got 98 votes for the post of President. He is the Deputy Secretary of the District Jamaat. His nearest rival Abu Md. Soem got 83 votes. He is the GP of the District Judge Court and the Joint General Secretary of the District BNP.
