New tuition fee rules for private schools set

Dhaka, Dec. 19 -- The Education Ministry has issued fresh directives on tuition fees for private school and college students, mandating compliance with the revised student admission policy.

A Thursday (Dec 18) notice signed by Secondary and Higher Education Division Deputy Secretary Syed A.Z.D. Morshed Ali states that from the 2026 academic year, fees must follow the "Private School, School and College (Secondary, Junior Secondary and Attached Primary) Student Admission Policy (Revised)" and Tuition Fee Policy-2024 Schedules Ka, Kha, and Ga.Institutions are urged to ensure fee collection at prescribed rates.
