Dhaka, Jan. 18 -- Chattogram WASA has appointed Dr Md Jahangir Alam as the new Chairman. Chattogram WASA appointed Dr Md Jahangir Alam to replace former Chairman Dr SM Nazrul Islam. Chattogram WASA on Monday announced the appointment of a new chairman on a press release.
Private university USTC Vice Chancellor Dr Md Jahangir Alam is the fourth chairman of the WASA board. He was born in Chandanish upazila of Chattogram in 1960.
He obtained SSC in 1976, HSC from Chittagong College in 1978, BSc Engineering from CUET in 1984, MSc Engineering in 1992, PhD from Anna University of Madras under UNESCO Scholarship in 1994, and post graduation in Fellowship Engineering on Earthquake in 1997.
