Dhaka, Sept. 1 -- The National Citizen Party (NCP) has announced a 51-member executive council to oversee the party's activities for the next three months, officials confirmed on Sunday.
Office Secretary Saleh Uddin Sifat said the council was formed with the approval of party Convenor Nahid Islam and Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain, in line with decision No. 2 of the NCP's 4th general meeting held on April 26.
The new panel, according to an official letter, will remain in place for three months and work alongside the party's 10-member political council, which is considered the NCP's highest decision-making body.
