Dhaka, Sept. 30 -- The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has introduced a new facility that will allow partial exporters to import raw materials without paying duties, provided they submit a bank guarantee.

The decision, announced in a press release on Monday, is intended to encourage export growth.

Currently, only exporters with bonded warehouse licenses are entitled to duty-free import of raw materials used in producing export-oriented goods.

However, many partial exporters - those who cater to both local and foreign markets - remain outside this system due to strict eligibility requirements.
