Dhaka, July 24 -- The National Board of Revenue (NBR) is ramping up its monitoring of trade operations to improve ease of doing business, NBR Chairman and Internal Resources Division Secretary Md Abdur Rahman Khan said on Tuesday.

Speaking to journalists after a meeting with customs officials at the Benapole Customs House auditorium, Khan emphasised the need for customs officials to adopt a service-oriented approach to streamline import and export procedures. "We've issued directives to ensure quicker clearance of goods and better support for traders," he said.
