Dhaka, July 2 -- Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Aurangzeb Chowdhury inaugurated a special tree plantation programme-2020 on Tuesday on the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by planting a sapling on the premises of Navy Headquarters at Banani in the city. With the slogan 'Green Tree-Clean Environment, Bangabandhu's Bangladesh', saplings of fruit-bearing, medicinal and forest trees will be planted at all naval regions, said an ISPR press release. A special munajat was offered on the occasion wishing success of the programme while principal staff officers of navy headquarters, regional commander of Dhaka, military and non-military officials and employees were present.
