Dhaka, Dec. 9 -- The National Table Tennis competition will begin at Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium in the capital from January 9 next instead of December 30 as scheduled earlier.

This time the tournament is starting with the singles ranking tournament for boys' and girls' under 9, 11, 13, 15 and 17. Only singles rankings for boys' and girls' will be held on the first two days of the competition. It is mentionable that there is no national ranking for Bangladesh below the Under-19 level.

A total of fourteen much-awaited events will be held from January 11 to 18 among under-19 boys' and girls' and senior men and women.

Of these, seven events are in the senior category and equal number of events is in the junior (U-19) category. ...
